With primary responsibility for traffic enforcement operations, forensics and crime prevention, the Services Division also coordinates the Drug Abuse Resistance Education Program in local schools. The Division functions as the center for equipment acquisition and supply and is responsible for the development of training programs. Supervision of personnel is performed by a Lieutenant, and a Sergeant. Also assigned to the Division is an Evidence Specialist Lieutenant, a Standards/Crime Prevention Sergeant, two Traffic Officers, a School Resource Officer assigned to Salem High School, and three DARE Officers who provide the DARE Program in Salem Schools. Four part-time school crossing guards, a part-time Parking Enforcement Officer, a custodian, and an automotive service worker fulfill the complement of employees assigned to Services.
