On January 1, 1996, Chief James R. Bryant organized a Funeral Escort Detail to assist and attend the funeral for members of the department and/or their family members as well as any other person closely associated with the City.  As a sign of respect and courtesy, the detail also offers assistance to anyone as directed by the Chief of Police.
